"Building Hope, Empowering Lives, Strengthening Community"
Our goal is to create a place where people can find hope, encouragement, resources, and opportunities to improve their lives. We serve survivors of human trafficking and abuse, as well as families and individuals facing hardship in the St. Louis community.
Through food assistance, youth programs, life-skills classes, community events, and our planned temporary low-income housing, we walk alongside people at every stage of their journey — from crisis to stability to flourishing.
We believe that restoration is possible — for people and for communities. That belief drives everything we do.
Annie Hamilton
Founder & Executive Director
Annie Hamilton founded Precious Ways Development Center in 2018 with a heart for the most vulnerable members of the St. Louis community. Driven by faith, compassion, and an unshakeable belief in human dignity, Annie set out to build more than a nonprofit — she set out to build a home.
Under her leadership, Precious Ways has grown from a vision into a living, breathing community organization — serving families through food assistance, empowering youth through afterschool programs, and equipping adults with the life skills they need to thrive.
Today, Annie is leading the charge to restore the organization's 126-year-old building at 3850 Sullivan Ave — transforming it into a permanent, full-service community resource center for St. Louis.
"We're not just restoring a building — we're restoring hope for our community."
— Annie Hamilton, Founder & Executive Director
We meet every person where they are — with dignity, empathy, and unconditional care. No one is turned away.
We create spaces where survivors feel protected, respected, and free from judgment as they begin to heal.
We believe in the potential of every individual. Our programs are designed to build confidence, skills, and independence.
Healing happens together. We foster belonging and connection — because no one should walk their journey alone.
We hold ourselves to the highest standard of service, always striving to do more and do better for those we serve.
We are anchored in the belief that every life can be transformed. Hope is not just our message — it is our mission.

Working toward full restoration of our historic building to create a lasting, permanent home for all our programs.
Our 126-year-old building on Sullivan Ave is more than a structure — it is a symbol of what is possible when a community believes in itself. We are working to restore this historic property into a full-service resource center where families can access food, housing support, life-skills training, and more under one roof.
Every donation, every volunteer hour, and every shared post brings us closer to that vision.
